WordPress for Android gets very pretty update

WordPress has followed Tumblr’s lead in releasing a much more attractive Holo version of its blogging app (via Engadget) …

First and foremost, you’ll notice that WordPress now looks like a proper Android app, complete with an action bar for tasks such as creating posts and sharing to other apps. With a flick of the thumb, you’ll also notice a menu drawer that’s accessible from the left-hand side, which replaces the old school dashboard interface that was found in previous versions of WordPress for Android.

Holo is the name given to the Android 4.0+ design theme which Google requires device manufacturers to include on all phones and tablets that want to have access to the Android Market.

We’ll be reviewing the updated app in the near future.
