Thanks to a tipster tweet, the boys at Android Central are reporting Android 4.4 KitKat is now en route to Nexus 4 smartphones. The update weighs in at a manageable 238MB and will of course add all the candy-tasting goodness Android 4.4 brings to the Android world.

There’s no word on how quickly the OTA will be rolling out but it’s good to see that Google only had to wait one day after Motorola began its rollout of KitKat to Verizon Moto X owners. It’s likely that Google waited a few extra days to make sure everything was worked out so Nexus 4 owners wouldn’t find themselves downloading a bug-laced update.

Now, about that HTC One Google Play edition update, eh Google?
