Google Glass update improves photo sharing, adds parking and package tracking

If you’re among the elite group of people who ponied up $1,500 for Glass, you’ll be glad to know that Google’s popular wearable computer has learned a few new tricks. First off the bat is an upcoming update to MyGlass for Android that will instantly display pictures on your compatible phone as soon as you open the app. To launch the apps’ new filters and editing tools, simply tap a photo. Once finished, you can then export the finished product to your favorite photo sharing app like Facebook, Instagram or VSCO.

The best part about this new addition is that it doesn’t require a WiFi connection. Google says it’s working on bringing this new feature to MyGlass for iOS, but the company didn’t provide any further details.

In addition to improved photo sharing, Glass has gained a trio of new Google Now cards for the World Cup, parking location and package tracking. To follow this year’s futbol tournament, just set up notifications on Google Now and manually select your team or click yes when you see the option to get match updates. As for finding where you parked, just look to the left of your Glass homescreen and you’ll find a Parking location card with an onscreen map that will guide you back to your car.

To keep tabs on your incoming parcel, go to your settings on the Google Now mobile app and select “package updates based on your gmail.” Google says the update is slated to release later this week.
