Sprint expands smartphone leasing program to LG G3 & Note 4, brings new Virgin Mobile plans to Walmart

Sprint announced on Friday that it will be expanding its smartphone leasing program to cover the LG G3 and Galaxy Note 4. Beginning today, new and existing individual and business customers can purchase the LG G3 for $15 per month or the Galaxy Note 4 for $25 per month with zero down payments through the Sprint Lease program.

Sprint Lease enables customers to choose a smartphone and make equal monthly payments for two years on the device to use it. After 24 months, the customer has the option to return the smartphone to Sprint and lease another device, purchase the device, continue leasing the device, or return the device in good condition and terminate service after the lease is fulfilled.

“Sprint Lease gives customers an affordable option to acquire LG G3 or Galaxy Note 4,” said Tom Roberts, senior vice president of Marketing, Sprint. “Through Sprint Lease, well-qualified customers can acquire the devices without paying any out-of-pocket costs at the point of sale. Sprint continues to offer customers the best value in wireless with its leasing program and monthly rate plans.”

Sprint also announced that its prepaid subsidiary Virgin Mobile USA will be offering the industry’s first no-contract data sharing plans exclusively through Walmart beginning January 17th. The new Data Done Right plans will be available for four specific 4G LTE mid-tier smartphones: HTC Desire 510, LG Tribute, LG Volt and Samsung Galaxy Core Prime.

Each smartphone will have a built-in data sharing application for data buy-ups and international add-ons with one tap, and every multi-line plan will include free Mobile Hotspot tethering for sharing data across other WiFi-enabled devices. The plans range in price between $65 to $115 per month and include unlimited talk, text and up to 12GB of 4G LTE data.

Virgin Mobile USA is also introducing two new single-line prepaid plans for Walmart customers, including a $35/month option that features 300 minutes of talk, unlimited texting and unlimited data with up to 2.5GB of 4G LTE speeds. A more expensive $45/month plan comes with unlimited talk, text and data with up to 2.5GB of 4G LTE speeds.

More devices are expected to be added for Data Done Right plans by the end of February.
