Google Calendar for Android improvements rolling out now

Google announced today that a number of enhancements for Google Calendar on Android will be arriving for users over the next few days. Google says the new features and tweaks (listed below) are based on early user feedback from the latest version of the app.

New features include the ability to see more events with pinch to zoom and a 7-day week view, as well as support for attaching Google Drive files to events. Other improvements are listed in the full change log below:

● See more events at a glance with 7-day week view and pinch-to-zoom
● Add Google Drive files to events. Drive will even check if everyone can open them.
● Control whether birthdays from Google+ are shown in settings. You’ll also see the same changes on the web next week.
● A new option to show week numbers in settings.
● Import .ics files sent to you in Gmail and other apps

The updated Google Calendar app for Android will land for all in the coming days.
