HBO Now has now made its way to Chromecast

Update: The HBO Now APK with Chromecast support is now available to download. It should be rolling out over the next several hours on the Play Store.

Yes, it’s true. Following the service’s introduction on Android and some of Amazon’s platforms a few weeks ago, Google has announced today that HBO is now rolling out support for Chromecast as well.

Fans can catch up on Game of Thrones® and other favorites, tune in live for new episodes of Ballers(sm) andTrue Detective® or catch up on every season of Girls®. HBO NOW(sm), the new standalone subscription service from HBO®, allows you to stream shows at the same time they air on TV without a cable subscription.

The latest version of the HBO Now app for iOS has already been updated with Chromecast support, and the Android counterpart is sure to be landing at some point today. We’ll keep you updated.

Google also announced that a couple of new games, notably FitFlap and Catch Phrase Blitz, have also recently landed on Chromecast. You can also grab Watch Food Network and Watch Travel Channel apps, as well as Pokemon TV for the kids.
