Star Wars Battlefront gets its own official Android companion app

Thanks to the impending arrival of Star Wars: Episode VII, one of this year’s most talked-about console games is Battlefront, which is undoubtedly one of the best (if not THE best) Star Wars games of all time. And now, it has its own official mobile companion app on the Google Play Store. The Android app was just released and features a number of mini games that unlock various objects in the full Battlefront console title…

Base Command is the app’s key feature, and almost certainly the main draw that’ll keep players coming back. It’s essentially a strategy-based card game that earns users credits to use in the full Battlefront game. Another feature is the ‘Stats and Progression’ screen which shows a breakdown of your Battlefront career, allowing you to dig deep in to your full stats. There’s also a connected feature that shows all your current Origin friends in real time and notifies you when they start playing Battlefront. You’ll get in-app and push notifications for important Battlefront news and can view your collection of Star Cards and Blasters.

Whether you’re in a galaxy far, far away or closer to home, get ready for battle with the official Star Wars™ Battlefront™ Companion app. Featuring the strategic card-game, Base Command, the Companion lets you earn in-game Credits that unlock Star Cards, blasters, and more in Star Wars Battlefront. In addition to Base Command, the Star Wars Battlefront Companion also lets players check game stats and progression, customize hands and appearance, connect with friends, and get notified when they’re playing Star Wars Battlefront – as well as gather intel on their stats and progress so you can see how you match up!

SW Battlefront Companion is available to download for free now from the Google Play Store and works with any Android phone running version 4.0 or later.
