Google Search now features informational yoga cards

As part of Google’s continuing efforts to make Search more useful, it now has cards for yoga poses. Announced by Google Hong Kong’s Plus account, the feature is now fully rolled out on mobile and desktop search.

When users search for a pose, a card with the pose’s Sanskrit name and other ways it’s known as will appear. The card also shows multiple pictures of the pose from Image Search and it also tells you what muscles are getting worked out and which part of your body is being strengthened. It also links to what poses one should do to prepare for the current one and which you should do after.

This nifty feature will be particularly convenient on mobile when one needs quick clarification of whether they are doing something right. On the health front, Google also updated Fit on Android Wear last week to make it a more full featured health companion. Users can now keep tracks of their runs and cycling on their watch. A previous update introduced a coaching features that teaches and encourages users to do sit-ups, push-ups, or squats on a daily basis.
