Google Photos can now display your photos in a slideshow

Google Photos is arguably one of the best photo services available today, however one feature it’s been missing since launch is the ability to play a slideshow. Whether you missed it or not, the feature is now finally here.

While a simple slideshow isn’t something that we’re all going to use on a regular basis, it can definitely be useful when you have a group of friends or family over to show them a collection of your pictures. The functionality is more or less the same as it would be on any other photos app/service.

One way Google has amped up the feature however is with Google Cast compatibility. You’ve always been able to connect Google Photos with a nearby Chromecast, but now you can directly play a slideshow up on the big screen for everyone to see.

The feature is rolling out now for both web and Android users. Google has not mentioned if this feature will be rolling out to iOS users.
