Nexus 6P’s ‘visor’ back camera glass is spontaneously cracking for some users

It seems like smartphones can’t be released anymore without some kind of serious flaw popping up.

Nexus 6P owners are reporting that the glass panel covering the phone’s cameras are suddenly cracking, with one user reporting having left the device screen up on a table followed by a loud, spontaneous, “snap”. Picking up the device they found the glass cracked and a pile of glass shavings left on the table. Among two users who shared images, the damage looks remarkably similar…

Motorola acknowledges Nexus 6 defect causing some back covers to come unglued

Following some Nexus 6 users complaining about the smartphone’s back cover coming unglued, The Times of India reports that Motorola is aware of at least a few devices affected by the problem. The handset maker tweeted earlier this week that it has received at least a few complaints about the defect, but fortunately appears to be willing to help affected customers replace their devices.

AT&T rumored to include its branding on Nexus 6 back

According to a recent rumor, AT&T plans to include its carrier branding on the back of the Nexus 6 (via Android Police). The image, taken from AT&T’s Business Direct page, shows the AT&T branding just below the beginning of “NEXUS” on the non-removable back. It’s not totally unsightly, but most people who buy a Nexus device expect it to include the Nexus branding, the manufacturer’s branding, and nothing else.
