HTC RE camera will be $100 on Black Friday through Cyber Monday

Site default logo image

HTC-RE

The HTC RE is one of the weirdest looking cameras that we’ve seen released this year. At a glance it looks like a tiny periscope or a colorful asthma inhaler. Odd presentation aside, this GoPro alternative has some likable qualities, however its $200 asking price is likely to be a turnoff for frugal photogs. If that last line sounds like you, then you might want to listen up, because HTC is having a sale.

Kindle Fire set record sales for Amazon on Black Friday

After reducing prices for the big shopping event known as “Black Friday,” Amazon said this morning that its Kindle Fire saw a record amount of sales of up to three times the previous record set. Amazon offered the base Kindle Fire at only £99, creating for an “incredible reaction” on Amazon.co.uk. The United States store surely saw similar numbers.

“In response to strong customer demand we included Kindle Fire in Black Friday deals week, dropping the price to just £99, and the reaction has been incredible. Customers purchased more than three times as many Kindle devices on Black Friday than on any other day in its history on Amazon.co.uk, and our previous record was impressive,” said Jorrit Van der Meulen, Vice President, Kindle EU.  “This fantastic Kindle Fire offer runs until midnight, Monday 26th November, so customers still have time to snap up a Kindle Fire in time for Christmas.”

Kindle Fire spotted at Target and Walmart for only $123.88

Site default logo image

A user on the SlickDeals forums spotted the Kindle Fire at both Target and Walmart available for only $123.88, on Sunday. That’s almost $80 off the original price! The sale is apparently unadvertised and it is unclear if it is still running in select stores, so we suggest you head over to your local store to check out this hell of a deal. You may even want to bring the above image with you to see if they can hook you up if the deal isn’t currently running (there’s also more after the break). It looks like you won’t be the only Kindle Fire user, seeing as Amazon had record sales (in the Kindle family) with the Kindle Fire this weekend — the company announced in a press release today. Check out the receipt after the break for more proof.

The Galaxy Nexus could launch the week after Black Friday if a timeline leaked by Droid Life stands to be true. Our first look at Ice Cream Sandwich will reportedly launch with Samsung’s Holiday Portfolio after Black Friday, which is the busiest shopping day of the year. Samsung’s Holiday Portfolio most likely includes the Galaxy S II and various other devices.

Verizon’s holiday lineup is sure to be packed with Samsung’s offerings and Motorola’s new Droid RAZR and Motorola’s portfolio. Oh yeah, there’s the iPhone 4S too!
