Verizon announced last week that the Samsung Galaxy Nexus tag received a price cut to $99.99, but now the carrier is ponying up the Ice Cream Sandwich-powered smartphone for free on a two-year contract at Best Buy.

PhoneArena first spotted the deal at BestBuy.com, where the retailer offers a free Galaxy Nexus to customers who are willing to enter service agreements with Verizon. It is worth noting the Android-based smartphone still costs $99.99 on Verizon’s online store.
