Wise TiVi wants to bring apps, gaming and web to your HDTV with its Android-based HDMI stick

Wise Tivi has introduced an Android-based HDMI stick that brings apps, web browsing and gaming to your HDTV.

Among its features include access to YouTube, Netflix, Hulu and Vimeo, as well as Android web browsers like Chrome and Firefox which support the Adobe Flash protocol.

Wise TiVi is currently accepting funding on Indiepogo and expects to ship this July.

While the device is largely intended for non-smart HDTV sets, Wise TiVi is arguably smarter than most connected HDTV sets.

Wise TiVi can even use gaming controllers like the Wiimote and PS3 Dualshock 3 Wireless controller over Bluetooth to control games, similar to the Android-based Ouya gaming system that was backed incredibly well.

Just plug in and go to:

Stream Film and TV shows immediately from services such as Netflix, HULU and LoveFilm, with their extensive range of content
Access Video and Music content via apps such as YouTube and Vimeo
Watch thousands of International TV stations using various apps
Browse personal photographs and videos instantly from your home network, laptop, PC and even your smartphone or tablet, with our onboard DLNA support
Surf the web with your chosen browser as Chrome, Opera or Mozilla and access social media, Google documents, flash content and even online shopping can be engaged in their favorite pastime just from the screen. – The list is endless!

A full HD-quality is guaranteed any time, supporting high resolution and video streaming with the latest Adobe Flash Player and HTML5 protocol.

Wise TiVi isn’t available for purchase yet, but you can pledge to back it over on the Kickstarter-like crowd funding platform Indiegogo.
