Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, Galaxy Note Pro 12.2, and ASUS PadFone X now available from AT&T

Screen Shot 2014-06-06 at 11.16.16 AMAT&T today has released a trio of new tablets. The carrier is now offering the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, Galaxy Note Pro 12.2, and ASUS PadFone X. The trio of devices are all available for purchase today with 4G LTE capabilities. The company also announced that its GoPhone prepaid plans are now compatible with a handful of tablets.

First off, the company released the Galaxy Tab 4 10.1. This tablet features a Snapdragon 400 processor and a screen resolution of 1280×800. These specs put it at the lower-end of the market, and the price doesn’t seem to reflect that as well as it should. With a two-year agreement, Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 will cost you $379.99. Without an agreement, you can expect to shell out $479.99 for the device. It’s also available with monthly payments, at $24/mo for 20 months.

At the other end of the spectrum, AT&T released Samsung’s incredibly high-end tablet offering, the Galaxy Note Pro 12.2. This device features a Snapdragon 800 processor and a 12.2-inch screen with a 2560×1600 resolution. The price certainly reflects these high-end specs, as it will cost you $799.99 with a two-year agreement, or $899.99 without. On an installment plan, you’ll be paying $45/mo for 20 months. With the purchase of the Note Pro, you’ll also get a $50 Play Store credit.

Finally, AT&T also released the oft-rumored ASUS PadFone X. This device is the successor to ASUS’ original phone/tablet hybrid device. The phone in the PadFone X combo packs a 5-inch display with a 1080p resolution, while the tablet docking station has a 9-inch, 1200p display. The PadFone X works by docking the phone into the back of the tablet, meaning that without the phone, the tablet is pretty much useless. The PadFone X will run you $595.92 off contract, or $199 with an agreement. On an installment plan, you’ll pay $29.80/mo for 20 months.

In addition to this trio of new hardware, AT&T has also announced that its GoPhone prepaid plans are now compatible with a handful of tablets, although oddly enough, none of the three announced today are compatible. The GoPhone plans work by purchasing a $10 GoPhone SIM Kit then choosing a pre-paid data plan for your device. For $15/mo you’ll get 250MB of data, while $30/mo gets you 3GB. Finally, $50/mo will get you 5GB of data. You can read the full list of compatible tablets on AT&T’s website.
