Sony Xperia Z2 reportedly heading to Verizon

Sony’s Xperia Z2 phone is heading to Verizon, according to an alleged screenshot of an employee training module obtained by PhoneArena. This lines up with past rumors suggesting that the rugged smartphone is heading to Big Red, along with leaks of its related tablet wearing the carrier’s branding.

If the screenshot is legit and Verizon is preparing its employees for a new product, odds are that we might see Xperia Z2 sooner than later. The thought of training sales reps to handle a device that won’t be available for several months just sounds odd, especially if a company doesn’t want its staff forgetting how to use it. Another possibility is that this training course could be for the Z2 tablet instead of Sony’s smartphone.

In an effort to get to the bottom of things, we’ve reached out to Verizon for comment and will update this article if the company provides any additional information.
