Verizon-bound Motorola ‘Quark’ passes through the FCC

Another Motorola-made smartphone is heading to Verizon according to a set of FCC documents uncovered by the folks at Droid-Life. Believed to be a device codenamed “Quark,” this mysterious handset is rumored to feature a QHD display, a 2.65GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor, an Adreno 420 GPU, 3GB RAM and Android 4.4.4 KitKat.

The FCC filing also revealed that the gadget features support for Big Red’s LTE bands, along with global roaming capabilities. Another less than subtle clue lurking within these regulatory documents is a software version listing of “5821.0.463.QUARK_VERIZON.EN.US.” Further exploration of the paperwork revealed reference to Motorola’s recently announced Turbo Charger, which can serve up eight hours of battery power in about 15 minutes.

We’ve heard rumors that Verizon was set to release multiple smartphones from Motorola in the next few months, so the Quark could be one of many devices that we see before 2014 comes to an end.
