Alleged Nexus 9 keyboard accessory clears the NCC

A set of court documents for a lawsuit filed by NVIDIA recently mentioned plans for an HTC Nexus 9. So far neither Google nor HTC has publicly acknowledged the existence of such a device, however pieces to this mysterious puzzle are slowly starting to come together. Pictured above is a photo of an alleged keyboard case for the upcoming tablet.

Somewhat reminiscent of the snap-on keyboard for Microsoft Surface, this Bluetooth-friendly accessory recently cleared the NCC. The Nexus 9 is rumored to feature an 8.9-inch 2,048 × 1,440 display, a Tegra K1 processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB or 32GB storage options and Android L. NVIDIA’s documentation stated that the tablet was expected to debut during the third quarter of 2014, however we won’t get excited until Google gives Android L an official release date.
