Samsung Galaxy Note 4 pre-orders start tomorrow, launches on October 17th (update)

The Galaxy Note 4 became an official product two weeks ago at IFA in Berlin and today US carriers are providing pre-order and launch details for Samsung’s new extra-large smartphone. Each carrier appears to be doing things a little differently, with Verizon and AT&T opening its pre-orders tomorrow, and T-Mobile accepting reservations on September 24th.

Big Red will sell the Note 4 for $300 on a two year service agreement or through monthly installments via its Edge program. T-Mobile is advertising that it will offer Samsung’s king-size phone for no money down at a price of $31.24 a month for two years, with the device going on sale on October 17th. AT&T customers can purchase the Note 4 for $34.42 or $41.30 per month through the carrier’s Next program, or for $300 upfront on a two year service agreement.

Conspicuous by its absence from today’s announcements, Sprint has yet to reveal its Note 4 launch plans. The carrier has already confirmed that it will offer Samsung’s colossal smartphone, so we expect its pre-order and purchase options to be similar to its competitors.

The Galaxy Note 4 is shaping up to be Samsung’s most impressive smartphone on paper, wrapped in a metal frame, the device features a huge 5.7-inch 2,560 x 1,440 Super AMOLED display, a 2.7GHz quad-core Snapdragon 805 processor, 32GB of internal storage, 3GB of RAM, a 16-megapixel camera and 4.4.4 KitKat.

Update: Sprint just issued a press release stating that it will begin accepting pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 on September 26th, with the device going on sale on October 17th. The carrier will offer the device through its Easy Pay program for $30 a month for a period of two years.
