Today, AT&T announced that it will sell the ASUS Padfone X Mini through its prepaid GoPhone services starting on October 24th. Priced at $200, the phone/tablet hybrid features a 4.5-inch phone capable of transforming into a 7-inch tablet via its docking station.

In terms of hardware, this budget-conscious device packs a modest 1.6GHz dual-core Intel Atom processor, 1GB of RAM, a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera, a 2-megapixel front-facing camera and Android 4.4 KitKat. Definitely not a showstopper, the $200 combo gadget could possibly appeal to frugal consumers who aren’t looking for the next big smartphone or tablet.
