Both the Nexus 6 and the Moto E (2nd generation) have launched on Verizon

The Verizon Nexus 6 has been a long time coming, and today the Big Red has finally launched Google’s flagship handset (at least via online outlets). But today also brings the launch of another Android device on Verizon: Morotola’s recently launched 2nd generation Moto E.

Verizon announced yesterday that it would begin selling the Nexus 6 today, but that announcement was definitely anticipated for a very long time. Several other carriers have been selling the Nexus 6 since late 2014, but it wasn’t until today—almost a half year after the device’s initial launch—that Verizon finally listed it for sale.

The Nexus 6 on Verizon is not much different than that for other carriers, but it notably includes the dreaded Verizon branding on its backside. You’ll be able to grab it starting today for $249.99 on a two-year contract, for $27.08 per month on Verizon’s EDGE plan, or $649.99 unlocked. The device is currently only available in its Midnight Blue configuration with 32 GB of flash storage.

Today also marks the launch of the 2nd generation Moto E on Verizon, another likely-to-be-popular Android device. We actually really loved this phone (at least based on our first impressions), and Verizon is offering the LTE variant in the form of a pre-paid device for $99.99 (half of the retail $199.99).
