Feedly updated with Google Now integration, improved search features, more

Popular feed reader app Feedly has been updated today to version 27 with a handful of new features. First off, the update adds Google Now integration. The app will now push the most interesting stories to Google Now every morning at 7:00AM, allowing you to quickly digest the most important news of the day.

Other than Google Now integration, the update also makes the Feedly Pro power search feature available on mobile and improves the auto-completition experience for all users.

Feedly was among one of the 7o+ apps that Google announced last month would gain support for Google Now cards. Integration of Feedly into Google Now will certainly be useful for users that want to quickly digest bits of news every morning without having to directly open a third-party app.

The full release notes are below. The update appears to be rolling out slowly, so keep an eye on the Play Store for it to hit your device.

  • Improved search auto-completion experience.
  • The feedly Pro power search is now available on mobile.
  • Google Now integration. The most engaging story in your feedly gets pushed to Google Now every morning at 7:00am.
