Yu Yuphoria has decent specs & low-end price, is a great competitor to the Moto E

Yu—a subsidiary of Micromax—announced their first device (the Yureka) late last year, but today the company has announced their second entry: the Yuphoria. At first glance you’ll probably notice that the device has a smaller overall build and a metal frame—and that’s exactly the realm of devices that Yu seems to be after with this launch (think the Galaxy A series)…

The Yu Yuphoria has a 720p 5-inch IPS display, and Gorilla Glass 3 on top. As for its cameras, you’ll find a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with an f/2.0 aperture, and an 8-megapixel camera with f/2.2 aperture around back. All of this is powered by the 64-bit Snapdragon 410 system-on-a-chip and 2 GB of RAM. The phone sports 16 GB of on-board storage, expandable via microSD slot.

As for software, the phone of course sports the latest build of Cyanogen OS, with Android 5.0 Lollipop baked in. The Yuphoria supports 4G LTE, and since it’s an international device, it has dual-SIM support. Its battery can handle an entire 2,230mAh, and it supports QuickCharge as well. As for its visual appearance, the phone comes in both “buffed steel” and “champagne gold.”

Considering the phone has specs well beyond the similarly-priced Moto E, this would be a no-brainer in this price range if it ever reached the states.
