We’ve heard a number of rumors concerning upcoming LG devices over the past few weeks and months. All together, we’re not entirely clear on what LG has in store for us for the holiday quarter. Whether it’s a budget phablet with a stylus, a ‘V10’ with a secondary ticker display or the LG Class which was officially announced recently, the Korean tech company’s wares have leaked so much it’s confusing.

Very recently, GFXBench has shown evidence of a device with the model number H900, and given the name LG G4 Pro. From the spec sheet given by the benchmark company, this could be a tempting upgrade from the existing LG G4. GFXBench results point to a larger 5.7-inch QHD display, as well as an extra 1GB RAM, taking it up to 4GB RAM total. In theory, this should help eleviate any minor stuttering or lag experienced with the non-pro model.

Apart from those two specs, the G4 Pro seems very similar to the standard model. It uses the same Snapdragon 808 hexa-core processor, avoiding the ‘problematic’ 810 chip. On the back is a 15MP camera capable of shooting video in 4K, while the front facing camera packs in 5MP. Available storage is 51GB, suggesting this model being tested will be advertised as having 64GB internal storage total.

We don’t know when it will be launched, but the ‘G4 Pro’ as it’s being called is likely to launch with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop preinstalled, suggesting it’ll arrive sooner rather than later. LG is expected to announce new products at an event in New York on October 1st. As we’ve mentioned already, we’re not entirely sure what the company is going to announce. Although we’ve seen evidence of a V10, it’s unclear if this and the so-called ‘G4 Pro’ are the same device, or if they’re two separate phones.
