HTC has never been shy about how serious it takes its smartphone design. When the HTC One M7 launched a few years ago, it was easily the best-looking and best-made Android smartphone available. Since then, it’s spent its time slowly improving on that original form factor. Some might say too slowly. While the M9 featured the same dedication to craftsmanship, its spec list wasn’t anywhere near close to competing with last year’s flagships. This year, that is rumored to be changing.
In a tweet published to its official handle in Ireland, HTC has shown off a video subtly teasing its next smartphone, the One M10. Having already teased the shiny chamfered edges, the 28 second video tells us that HTC is up all night — while everyone else is sleeping — obsessing over the details of its next flagship Android phone.
We’re obsessed… in a good way. #powerof10 https://t.co/EHcCYfEiQh https://t.co/0lHAkrP3SU

Unlike last year, this year’s One M-series phone is rumored to match the specs of its competition. That means we should see a bright, vivid Quad HD display, a Snapdragon 820 processor, plenty of RAM and the same awesome camera found on the Nexus 6P. Design-wise, we’re expecting a phone which looks like something of a cross between the One A9 and One M9, with the curved metal back, but no stereo front-facing BoomSound speakers.
While it’s unlikely HTC will ever reach its past heights in the smartphone market, it’ll be great to have a genuinely fantastic HTC phone again. Let’s just hope the company delivers in 2016.
