OnePlus 3 specs rumored to include 5.5-inch 1080p screen (again), 64GB storage and Snapdragon 820

Evan Blass, the serial leakster has shared a brief overview of the OnePlus 3‘s specifications. For the spec-hungry among you, they might make for disappointing reading given that they’re much the same as last year.

As was suggested in earlier benchmark leaks, the OnePlus 3 will retain the 5.5-inch 1080p display that’s served the company well so far, and will have 64GB built-in storage and a 16MP main camera. All of this will be powered by a Snapdragon 820 processor, which should ensure that it’s incredibly fast, and can potentially support Quick-Charge 3.0, providing the manufacturer enables it.

Despite the resolution staying the same, we’re expecting OnePlus to swap out the sub-par LCD panel for a much more vibrant AMOLED screen. This will make a huge difference to the quality of the user’s viewing experience.

What’s more, it appears OnePlus may be making some major changes to the outward appearance this year, replacing the Sandstone Black plastic cover for an all-metal casing which looks somewhat similar to flagship HTC smartphones.

OnePlus will announce the new phone via a VR livestream sometime in the very near future and even launched a bespoke VR headset to coincide with the launch.
