Verizon starts rolling out Android Marshmallow for the Galaxy Tab E 8.0

Four months after the device launched, Verizon has just begun rolling out Marshmallow for its Samsung Galaxy Tab E 8.0 (via SamMobile). The update, with software version T377VVRU1BPD6, brings all of the best features of Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow along with a June security patch…

The arrival of 6.0.1 brings mostly just brings all the Marshmallow-y enhancements you would expect. Doze and App Standby, which should give the device quite a noticeable boost in battery life, come with Android Marshmallow, as well as a new app permissions system and Google Now on Tap. The update also brings along a revamped Do Not Disturb mode, Flex Storage, and more.

Verizon is rolling this update out over the air, so you can probably expect it to hit your device sometime in the next few days if it hasn’t already.
