OxygenOS 3.2.0 rolling out now for OnePlus 3 owners w/ improved RAM management and bug fixes [Update: Now 3.2.1]

Update 2: OnePlus now resuming rollout, but this time pushing 3.2.1 instead of 3.2.0.

Update: OnePlus says it is halting the OTA update to investigate issues some are having while upgrading.

Due to some reports of issues while upgrading, we are temporarily stopping the rollout to investigate. We will start back up as soon as possible.

OnePlus is currently rolling out OxygenOS 3.2.0 to the OnePlus 3. This new update has been promised by the company for quite some time and within it brings improvements to RAM management, the addition of an sRGB mode to the developer settings, as well as a handful of bug fixes.

This update comes as a response to many criticisms that OnePlus faced following the launch of the OnePlus 3. Some reviewers had issues with the ways colors appeared on the OnePlus 3’s display. OnePlus hopes to remedy those issues with the addition of a new sRGB mode. To access this you’ll need to head into the phone’s developer options and toggle it on.

OnePlus has also tweaked their RAM management a bit so the phone can better take advantage of the 6GB of RAM found within. At launch the OnePlus 3 was found to be pretty aggressive with RAM management even when compared to devices with less RAM. The company claimed that this was to preserve battery life, but thanks to the complaints of users, it seems they’ve decided to ease up a bit.

OnePlus has yet to officially announce this update but as seen in their forums, it’s already hitting devices. The full changelog for the 396mb update is found below.
