Google currently offering 2 months of Spotify Premium for all Chromecast owners

After selling over 30 million units, Google is continuing to add more and more perks for Chromecast owners. We’ve seen deals on Google Play rentals, free extended trials to services like Netflix, and now, a 2 month free trial for Spotify’s premium subscription.

From now until September 15th, Google and Spotify will be offering this free trial which is worth about $20 based on Spotify’s standard rates. Spotify also works with both the Chromecast and the Chromecast Audio, so you’ll be able to easily cast your favorite music to your TV or your favorite set of speakers.

For now it seems that this is a US only offer and it only applies to new subscribers. So if you’ve used Spotify in the past, you won’t be able to take advantage of the offer, unless you’ve got another account.

Along with this offer, Google is also offering a 90 day free trial for its own service, Google Play Music. This offer will also be around a bit longer, until December 31st. Either option will give you all the songs you want, so it just comes down to the service you prefer.

Both offers can be redeemed on Google’s Chromecast offers page here and you can pick up a Chromecast or Chromecast Audio for yourself over on the Google Store.
