BLU debuts $299 Pure XR w/ 4GB RAM, 3D Touch, fingerprint sensor, available now

After teasing it a few weeks ago, BLU has today announced its latest flagship device, the Pure XR. The new smartphone brings a powerful set of specifications, a good looking build, and all of the features you would expect from a flagship device.

Under the hood you’ll find a MediaTek Helio P10 octa-core processor, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of storage (with a microSD slot), and Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Up front is a 5.5-inch, 1080p SuperAMOLED display covered with Gorilla Glass 3. That display is also capable of using a 3D Touch feature, similar to that of the iPhone 6s. For now, it looks like this will primarily interact with the launcher, offering shortcuts similar to what we see on iOS for supported apps.

The Pure XR also has a front-facing fingerprint sensor, USB Type-C port, 3,000 mAh battery, 16MP f/1.8 rear camera, and an 8MP front facing shooter.

Creating a flagship device requires endless perseverance and dedication to push the goal Beyond all expectations. The Pure XR is the result of genius engineering and delicate artistry that combine to create cutting-edge technology and beautiful aesthetics. Being the First to implement “invisible” antenna method for a full metal design, the uni-body limits the use of plastic for a solid and seamless results. Diamond cut polishing along with Powder coating treatment ensure a completely flawless design. Available in Grey and Gold, the Pure XR is a master in premium built.

The device is available for just $299 unlocked in both gold and gray from Amazon and Best Buy. Just like BLU’s other devices, this one will remain a GSM-only device, meaning you can use it on AT&T, T-Mobile, Cricket, MetroPCS, and several other GSM carriers.
