PSA: Android Pay offering 50% off of 10 Uber rides until October 15th

Google and Android Pay are now offering up a deal on rides through the popular ride-hailing service, Uber. For a limited time, if you set up Android Pay as your payment option on Uber, you will be given a 50% discount off of 10 rides between now and October 15.

According to the Android Pay promotional page, all you need to do to activate this deal is complete the following steps:

  • Download and set up Android Pay on the Play store
  • Open your Uber app
  • Add Android Pay as a payment option in the Uber app
  • Make sure to select Android Pay in the confirmation screen when requesting a ride and you will get 50% off 10 rides* (up to $5 per ride) now through 10/15
  • No need to apply any additional codes

There is one major limitation to this deal though and that is of course that the 50% discount is only good for up to $5 off per ride. Since most rides tend to cost more than $10, you will most likely not get a full 50% off of your Uber trip.
