The ‘Bohemian Rhapsody Experience’ Google was showing at I/O is now available for all

Seth and I got to experience a really cool VR music video earlier this year at Google I/O 2016, but at that point the only way to see it was to… be at Google I/O. The version they were showing was an unfinished ‘prototype,’ if you will. Now, anyone with a relatively-capable Android phone can see what we saw, and those with an iPhone will be getting access soon…

Here’s how Google describes the “Bohemian Rhapsody Experience”:

The Bohemian Rhapsody Experience offers a journey through frontman Freddie Mercury’s subconscious mind and recreates the sensation of being onstage with the band, with visual and audio elements that respond to your movements. The content is also available as a 360 degree video for you to experience even if you do not own a VR device.

The experience was built in collaboration between Google, Queen, and Enosis VR. Basically, its biggest selling point — but not really a selling point, because it’s free to watch — is that it’s a trip (in more ways than one) into the world of Queen using immersive audio and surround sound. It’s really cool, and you should head over to the Play Store and download it now.

If you don’t own a VR-capable device, the app provides a 360 degree video version as well.
