With more than 5 million books to read on the go, what will you discover next? Google Play Books is introducing Discover, a new way to find books by browsing the latest reviews, news, lists, videos and more.
Discover “identifies news, reviews, lists, and videos about books” from “trusted sources,” Google says, and presents these stories to you in a way that’s easy to digest. And the feature doesn’t just make guesses — it intelligently uses the books you’ve already read in Google Play Books to determine the stories you’re presented with.
If you don’t want to sit around and read these suggestions all the time, Google is also providing Weekly Highlights, which deliver some of the best stories from any given week all in one place. The Mountain View company is also launching Google Play Editorial today, which will feature original articles from a variety of book authors.
Google says that Discover is launching today in the Google Play Books Android app (in the US at least), and that it will soon be coming soon to iOS. You can download Google Play Books from the Play Store for free.
