Where to buy the Pixel and Pixel XL: Here’s what we know so far

Today Google finally pulled the wraps off of its latest smartphones, the Pixel and Pixel XL. These new devices depart from the era of Nexus, bringing a new design, some new software decisions, and most notably, a new customer base — or at least that’s what Google hopes. To hit as many customers as possible, Google is going to “flex its muscle” in the marketing game, but that also means making these new devices easily available to customers through carriers…

Luckily, Google is doing exactly that. Both the Pixel and Pixel XL are available, not only unlocked, but also through Verizon Wireless. Sadly, that’s only through Verizon Wireless. If you were hoping to buy through AT&T, Sprint, or T-Mobile, you’re out of luck, sort of… Let’s take a closer look.

Google Store

At the Google Store you can get the Pixel and Pixel XL unlocked with full compatibility with all US carriers. Pricing for the 32GB 5-inch Pixel starts at $649 and jumps up to $749 for 128GB of storage. The larger Pixel XL will add $120 to that price for either model. Monthly financing options through Google’s new Google Store-exclusive financing program are also available starting at $27 a month.

Verizon Wireless

Verizon was rumored for quite some time to carry these new devices, and that has finally been confirmed today with Verizon posting both devices up for pre-order. Pricing starts at $649 for the Pixel in its 32GB variant in all three color variants. The Pixel XL jumps up $120 with the price falling at $769 for the 32GB variant. 128GB models are also available for an extra $100. Alternatively, customers can also take advantage of Verizon’s monthly pricing plans, which also start at $27 per month.

Project Fi

Google’s own cellular service, Project Fi, is also offering the Pixel and Pixel XL both at retail price and with monthly pricing plans. Retail starts at $649 for the 32GB Pixel and monthly pricing lands at $27 per month.

Best Buy

Best Buy will also be carrying the Pixel and Pixel XL at full price, but the device has yet to go live on its website.

Canada

In Canada TELUS, Bell, and Rogers will also be carrying the Pixel and the Pixel XL, apparently starting on October 20th. More information should be available soon. Both devices will also be sold unlocked through WirelessWave, but no further information is available yet.

International

In the UK Telstra, EE, Deutsche Telekom, and Dixons Carphone will be officially offering the Pixel and Pixel XL, but Carphone Warehouse should also be offering the device.

Other worldwide retailers have also signed up to sell the Pixel and Pixel XL, all of which you can see in the image below.
