ASUS announces US availability for ZenFone 3 and ZenWatch 3

ASUS first launched the ZenFone 3 lineup quite a while ago, and first mentioned its new ZenWatch 3 at IFA last month. But it wasn’t until now that we had any information on when any of these devices would launch in the US. It looks like all of the ZenFone 3 variants are now up for pre-order on ASUS’ website (watch assumably coming soon), and should be shipping within the month…

As you may know, ASUS’ ZenFone 3 lineup is a bit confusing. There’s the lower-end ZenFone 3 Laser (which is actually available for purchase outright right now), a ZenFone 3 Deluxe 5.5-inch with a Snapdragon 625 and 4GB of RAM, a ZenFone 3 Deluxe 5.7-inch with 6GB of RAM and a Snapdragon 820, and the top of the line “Special Edition” ZenFone 3 Deluxe 5.7-inch with 6GB of RAM and a Snapdragon 821 processor.

All three of those variants are now up for pre-order on ASUS’ website. Delivery for the Deluxe non-Special-Edition models is set for October 12th, while delivery for the Special Edition top-of-the-line model is set for the 19th.

As for the watch, which has HyperCharge technology to charge the watch to 60 percent in just 15 minutes, a Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2100 processor, a 1.39-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 400×400, and a price tag of $229, it looks like you’re going to have a wait a bit longer. Pre-orders aren’t live on ASUS’ website quite yet, but the company did apparently confirm to Engadget that it will be coming in early November.
