Google Photos now shows albums in search results

Google Photos just keeps getting better and better. With the launch of the Google Pixel more people than ever are enjoying free and unlimited cloud storage for photos and videos with the service, and it seems Google is — as it should — continuing to improve it for all of us. The latest addition to Google Photos is the ability to find albums in search…

I’m actually not seeing this feature yet on any of my devices, but Kyle Salewski over on Google+ is (via Android Police).  Basically it lets you find albums of photos related to the search term that you type in at the top of the window. In the case of the below example, Kyle typed in Vegas, and while the results still show images and videos taken in Vegas, the search is also now surfacing a few albums with Vegas in the name.

Like I said, I’m not seeing this feature yet on my devices, but if you force quit and restart the app on your phone you might see it show up for you. It should also show up on the web at some point soon.
