Need for Speed No Limits VR is now available for Google Daydream

Just last week a bunch of new apps hit the Play Store for Google’s new Daydream VR platform, and now after a slight delay, EA has finally released Need for Speed No Limits for Daydream.

Easily the most ambitious and detailed Daydream game to date, Need for Speed No Limits sticks you in the driver’s seat and lets you drive around with your remote, all while feeling like you’re really inside of the car. You can even use the rear view and side mirrors, as well as seeing the cars racing along next to you on either side.

The controls are also pretty simple ─ tilt to steer, swipe to boost, and click the touchpad to drift (which adds boost). Just like the standard game, the graphics are all very detailed as well, which probably means the device will heat up a bit faster than usual.

As is usually the case with EA games, there are in-app purchases, but given the $15 price tag, we can only hope there aren’t too many, especially if you need them to move forward in the game. Regardless, Need for Speed No Limits VR is now available for download over on Google Play and can be used with any Daydream smartphone including the Pixel, Pixel XL, and Moto Z/Force.
