Deal: Snag a Moto Mod-compatible Moto Z Play refurb (unlocked) for just $205

motozplay_2

If you’re looking for a phone that’s compatible with Moto Mods on the cheap, this might be the one for you. Best Buy offers a Geek Squad refurbished Moto Z Play in 32GB capacity for $205 shipped, which is a whopping $245 off the price you would pay if you bought a new one from Amazon.

The Moto Z Play has many features of the Moto Z line, which we praised in our review of the Moto Z Style. This phone — and especially this deal — is much more friendly to your wallet, though, with a 5.5-inch 1080p AMOLED display, Snapdragon 625 processor, and 3GB of RAM.

These slightly lower-end specifications (which shouldn’t make that much difference in actual real-world performance) pair with a huge 3,510 mAh battery to help the phone hit up to 50 hours of battery life. Also different compared to the standard Moto Z, the Play has a fully glass back and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The big selling point here, though, might be that this phone is compatible with Lenovo’s entire lineup of Moto Mods. Be sure to read our full review of the first round of Moto Mods. Best Buy covers the phone with its 90 day warranty on refurbished items. This phone is unlocked, so it should work fine with most GSM networks such as AT&T, T-Mobile.
