How to use Twitter bookmarks on Android

For the longest time, the only way “save” tweets so that you can look back at them was to “heart” them. Thankfully, Twitter has introduced a bookmarks feature that lets you save tweets privately so that you can look back at them. Unfortunately, though, the function to bookmark a tweet is sort of hidden. Here’s how it all works…

How to use Twitter bookmarks on Android

  1. Bookmark a tweet
  2. View your bookmarks

1. Bookmark a tweet

First and foremost, open the Twitter app and find a tweet that you find interesting or want to look at again at another time. Next, tap on the share button below the individual tweet despite that seemingly being the weirdest place to keep the option to bookmark.

Lastly, select the Add Tweet to Bookmarks button. If you want, a small View button will pop up at the bottom of the screen to quickly jump to your bookmarked tweets.

2. View your bookmarks

Thankfully, finding your bookmarked tweets is a much more natural process.

First, either tap on your avatar or swipe inward from the left side to access the Twitter app’s main menu. From there, select Bookmarks. This list will show your saved tweets in the order in which you’ve bookmarked them.

3. Remove old bookmarks

When you’re done with a tweet, just tap on the sharing icon once more and select Remove Tweet from Bookmarks.
