[Update: Live on Android, web] Google Voice adds ‘Anonymous Caller ID’ option

Google Voice last month began rolling out the Google Material Theme redesign to Android, and expanded VoIP availability. The latest feature for Google’s telephony service is a setting to continuously mask your caller ID when making calls.

Back in 2017, Google introduced the Editors’ Choice section of the Play Store as part of an editorial push to help with curation and discovery. In addition to quarterly Android Excellence lists, Google Play added stories and collections about apps. Google is now promoting this editorial content with notifications from the Play Store.

With the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL, Google created a new help experience to walk users through their phone’s major features. Already integrated into system Settings, Pixel Tips articles will now appear as inline search suggestions.

Since its October unveiling, the Pixel 3 XL has been the phone consistently in my pocket. This week, though, I’ve finally got my hands on the Galaxy S10 and the Galaxy S10e. Our (admittedly late) reviews will be going up soon, but just a day with the Galaxy S10 has already given me a few thoughts on where Google needs to take the Pixel 4.
