After going through a beta test that lasted the past few weeks, Epic Games is finally releasing Rocket League 'Sideswipe' globally on Android and iOS
For those of you who have played Epic Game's Rocket League before, Sideswipe may make you feel right at home. The mobile version of Rocket League is a side-scroller that incorporates many of the same mechanics found in the popular car "soccar" game.
Sideswipe pits players against each other in 1v1 or 2v2 matches. These high-intensity matches last around 2 minutes. Using touchscreen controls like a virtual joystick, jump button, and boost button, Sideswipe is able to achieve a genuinely fun mobile version of Rocket League with a similar experience to the full-fledged game.
Players can customize their vehicles to their heart's content as well. Through gameplay, players can earn in-game currency to unlock new skins, toppers, boost trails, and even goal explosions.
Players can also unlock new car bodies to use during matches to stand out against others.
All players get the option to play classic "Soccar" or "Hoops" inspired by basketball. Both are extremely fun to play around in and definitely require different gameplay strategies.
