The Galaxy Watch 5 might get 80 hours of battery life

By Andrew Romero & Ben Schoon

We know a fairly large amount about the Galaxy Watch 5 already, though we're finding more information mere days before Unpacked 2022.

Today, a list of specs were published showcasing exactly what we should expect from the Galaxy Watch 5.

The standard Galaxy Watch 5 will see two sizes: 40mm and 44mm. The smaller has a 1.19-inch AMOLED display at 396x396 while the larger has a 1.36-inch AMOLED 450x450 display.

The Pro will apparently house the same display at 44mm, though the overall size is a bit larger. The report also claims that Samsung is using sapphire glass on all Galaxy Watch 5 models.

As for battery life, the 40mm will be seeing a 284 mAh capacity while the 44mm will have a 410 mAh cell. As for the Pro version, we're possibly looking at 80 hours with a 590 mAh battery.

To put it into perspective, that's over three full days of battery power. The cherry on top is 10W charging, doubling the speed in comparison to the generation before.

We're excited to see the official specs at Unpacked 2022, and to find out if the rumors ring true. Follow 9to5Google on Twitter to keep up to date with the rest of our Samsung coverage.
