OnePlus is offering a new tablet that takes a lot from the Oppo Pad 3. The new OnePlus Pad tablet for sale in China equips MediaTek’s new Dimensity 8350 SoC and brings an 11-inch display.
OnePlus already offers something under the OnePlus Pad moniker. That tablet is powered by a Dimensity 9000 SoC, which was MediaTek’s flagship chipset a couple of years ago. The company is now on the 3nm Dimensity 9400, which was only announced in October.
In China, a new OnePlus tablet was released under the same OnePlus Pad name. The new tablet offers an 11.6-inch display at 2.8K resolution and 144Hz. Internally, MediaTek’s Dimensity 8350 powers the tablet with a paired 8GB or 12GB of RAM.
The OnePlus Pad also packs a 9,520mAh battery, which is expected to offer some long runs without a charge. To pair, OnePlus is equipping the tablet with 67W fast-charging.
The new Chinese exclusive — for now — is essentially a rebranded Oppo Pad 3. As the two companies work side-by-side, this move is only just surprising. The Oppo Pad 3 was the first tablet to come equipped with the new Dimensity chip, which has slightly more power than the Dimensity 8300.
The OnePlus Pad in 2024 is being offered for around CNY 1,999 in China, which sits somewhere in the range of $274 when directly converted. That being said, this is a budget device and may not be offered globally. OnePlus plans on debuting the OnePlus 13 series on January 7, so it’s possible we could see some mention of this device at that time.
