The Pixel Watch 5 is expected to look identical to last year’s model, but the similarities might also extend to the specs and chip.
According to the Google Play Console, the Pixel Watch 5 is codenamed “godric.” This might be a portmanteau like previous generations.
From this listing, Google is using the “Qualcomm SW5100,” which would be the same base chip as the Pixel Watch 2, 3, and 4. The CPU and GPU are unchanged from last year:
- CPU: 4x ARM Cortex-A53 (1700 MHz)
- GPU: Qualcomm Adreno 702 (1000 MHz)
As a reminder, Google started using the 4nm Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 with the Pixel Watch 2. The Pixel Watch 4 saw an upgrade to the Snapdragon W5 Gen 2 for Satellite SOS, while the co-processor went from ARM Cortex-M33 to M55.
Today’s entry does not mention the co-processor, so that could be upgraded, but Google reusing the same platform is likely.

One thing to point out.
The W1000 that samsung was using in the last gen devices was also a 1xA78 and 4xA55. Aside from GPU and possibly clock speed differences, the Wear Elite may not be all that big of a change for Ultra 2 and Watch 9.
So, their relative positions with respect to processing power is about the same and as a owner of both a PW4 and a Galaxy Watch Ultra, I can tell you that there is very little difference between how they actually perform. I don't think WearOS is demanding enough to really cause that A78 to fire up all that often.
For comparison, Samsung’s Galaxy Watch 9 uses the 3nm Snapdragon Wear Elite with 1x Cortex-A78 and 4x Cortex-A55.
Meanwhile, the Pixel Watch 5 looks to have 3 GB of RAM in the first upgrade from 2 GB since Google’s entry into wearables. That presumably helps unlock Gemini Intelligence capabilities. The new Samsung wearable stick with 2 GB.
Finally, this listing includes a picture (as seen in the cover image above) that matches what previously leaked. There’s a new analog watch face with Gemini’s Neural Expressive design language.
