Narwal Freo 20 robot vacuum has a flagship-tier mop for hundreds of dollars less

The robot vacuum scene has heavily focused on improving mopping tech in recent years and, right now, the flagship models are better than they’ve ever been. For those of us without bottomless pockets, though, the Narwal Freo 20 offers a flagship-tier mop and overall cleaning experience for a much lower price tag.

Available starting this week, the Narwal Freo 20 is the most advanced release in the history of Narwal’s Freo lineup. Freo has always focused on delivering high-end features at a more affordable price tag.

This year’s Narwal Freo 20 is the most advanced yet, and it’s not close.

It all starts with Freo 20’s key feature: support for Narwal’s FlowWash mopping system. This delivers a wider track mop that is constantly cleaned and refreshed with hot water as the robot cleans your floors, while also applying pressure to ensure the best possible clean. It covers roughly 7x more surface area with each pass through your home.

This not only removes dirt more effectively, but also helps avoid an issue that plagues many other robot mops where dirty water and debris can get pushed off to the side, requiring additional runs to actually clean up the floor. 9to5Google has reviewed this system on Narwal’s flagship model.

It’s not just the mop that is powerful on Narwal Freo 20. The robot packs 31,000 Pa of suction power, rivaling some of the best options on the market, while using Narwal’s DualFlow Tangle-Free system, reducing hair tangles and, ultimately, maintenance. It also has Narwal’s typical inclusions with extendable mop and brush mounts to help clean corners more fully, while the 3.74-inch (95mm) build can fit easily under most tables for a thorough clean.

Beyond that, Narwal Freo 20 has TwinAI Obstacle Avoidance that utilizes built-in RGB cameras and AI processing to not only go around obstacles but also determine what the robot is seeing to help avoid issues with getting stuck in household items such as cables.

The on-board AI processing also helps support Narwal’s Pet Care Mode – which can increase suction or go and find your pet in the home – as well as a Baby Care mode, with the latter decreasing suction to avoid waking a sleeping child.

Finally, there’s the dock.

Where many older robot vacuums made you choose between automatic dustbin emptying or mop cleaning, the Narwal Freo 20 supports both. The dock can automatically empty the dustbin for up to 120 days of running the robot, while the mop is cleaned using on-board clean and dirty water tanks. The mops are washed in hot water and then dried with heated air. Plus, the whole dock has an updated look that’s clean and refined.

Narwal Freo 20 generally sells for $1,099, which is already a bargain compared to the flagship-tier systems that it battles. At launch, though, you can get it for just $899 – an absolute steal! That price runs from today, August 20, through September 3. For an even better deal, use the exclusive code 925GGF20 to take an additional $50 off your purchase through August 26.
