Updating…

New Notes QS Tile

  • With the Android 17 QPR2 Beta, Google enabled the Notes lockscreen shortcut and homescreen widget/app shortcut for Pixel 11 devices.
  • As of QPR3 Beta 1, that’s still the case, with Notes not appearing on our Pixel 10.
  • This new beta adds a new Notes Quick Settings Tile for the Pixel 11 series.

Status bar tweaks

  • The changes made in the Android 17 QPR1 stable release are intentional after all.
  • There’s a bolder VPN icon, while the silent icon matches the volume menu.
  • Some icons, like Bluetooth and Airplane Mode, are slightly larger.

Gemini Intelligence boot screen on Pixel 10 series + more

  • On our Pixel 10, the Gemini Intelligence boot animation from the Pixel 11 series appears after installing QPR3 Beta 1.
  • Additionally, Proactive Assistance appears in system Settings. It’s now above Magic Cue, which remains available. Something similar happening during the QPR2 Beta but was later removed.
  • However, Proactive Assistance does not appear in Gemini app settings.
