Oppo Find X10 Ultra is in the works, and I can’t wait to try its upgraded cameras

Not long after the Oppo Find X10 series launched globally, we’re already hearing details about the company’s Ultra model which is set to pack more impressive cameras – and that’s a pretty tall order.

We just reviewed the Oppo Find X10 Pro Max last week and, long story short, it has fantastic cameras. As it turns out, slapping three 200MP sensors into a single phone puts out some excellent images, and the phone around those cameras is pretty great too.

Now, there’s word that Oppo is still building out a Find X10 Ultra despite the impacts of RAMageddon.

Leaker Digital Chat Station says (via GSMArena) that the Oppo Find X10 Ultra is set to include at least two 200MP sensors of its own, but in another league. The cameras confirmed so far include:

  • 200MP 1/1.12-inch main sensor, LOFIC
  • 200MP periscope telephoto with 1/1.3-inch sensor, zoom unknown
  • 50MP 10x periscope telephoto
  • 100MP front-facing square sensor camera

That main sensor sounds pretty similar to last year’s Find X9 Ultra, as does that 10x periscope telephoto lens. The other telephoto shooter may not have a confirmed optical zoom length yet, but it’s likely 3x if Oppo is looking to match the Find X9 Ultra, and the sensor size is pretty much unchanged as well. There’s no word on the ultrawide yet, but that seems like an obvious candidate for a 200MP sensor if Oppo is looking to follow up on the Pro Max. Find X9 Ultra had a 50MP shooter here with a 1/1.95-inch sensor.

LOFIC on the main sensor is a new technology that improves dynamic range. It’s also expected to show up on other 2027 flagships, including Galaxy S27 Ultra.

The biggest upgrade here looks to be the front-facing camera, with the move over to a 100MP sensor, twice that of the prior generation, but also a square (1:1) sensor. That would allow for a more flexible shooter akin to the one Apple has been using in its latest iPhones.

Oppo Find X10 Ultra, if it follows the Find X9 Ultra’s pattern, will probably launch around April 2027. After using last year’s model, I can’t wait.
