Today, HTC announced further availability of its Desire 800 and 600 smartphone series in the US. The HTC Desire 816 features a 5.5-inch 720p display, a 1.6GHz quad-core Snapdragon processor, 1.5GB of RAM, a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing shooter. This affordable handset will be available on August 12th from Virgin Mobile and HTC for $300 outright.

AT&T has announced its release plans for the HTC Desire 610, a $200 off-contract smartphone that plays nice with Ma Bell’s LTE network. Available to order on July 25th through the carrier’s online and retail outlets, this budget-friendly handset will also be sold via AT&T Next 18 for $8.35 per month and $10 a month by way of AT&T 12.
