First announced last month at a ceremony on June 9th, Samsung has shared some information about its new Samsung Tech Institute in Queretaro, Mexico near Mexico City. The company says representatives from the National Employment Service Delegation Queretaro attended that ceremony alongside corporate managers from Samsung.
The main objective of this program is to train technicians to address the importance and the needs of the production in order to improve living conditions and to provide employment opportunities for recent graduates, who constantly struggle to find job opportunities.
Below Samsung outlines the benefits of its program:
1) A scholarship from the National Service of Employment that covers the duration of the program
2) If the applicant obtains a minimum of 80% grade, he/she will be hired as a regular employee of Samsung Electronics Mexico’s Plant in Queretaro
3) A fixed salary and working conditions superior to those required by law
4) Continuous training
5) Extensive possibilities for personal and professional growth.
Samsung says thousands of job applications are received daily (that seems like a high number) at its plant in Queretaro as it hosts one of two major plants in the area. The company also says it will announce the program’s results in August as it awards qualified participants.
