As had been rumored previously, the new smartwatch is going to be round and feature a mostly metal casing. From the brief look at the user interface, it seems almost certain the company will opt once more to go with its own Tizen operating system rather than use Android Wear. It shows a clear focus on health and fitness in the photo above taken by @michaeljosh on Twitter. Another screen grab (below by @vquinn) shows a really classy looking analogue style watch face, with heart rate information and an upcoming calendar event.
This teaser announcement debunks rumors of a Galaxy A, but doesn’t give us much technical information. We don’t know, for instance, if it’s only going to support Galaxy smartphones, Android phones or if it will be cross-platform. Thankfully, we only have a couple of weeks to wait until we find out.
