HTC Desire 530 coming to Verizon, T-Mobile, and HTC.com in the U.S.

HTC has announced today that it is bringing its Desire 530 budget smartphone to the United States. We went hands-on with the device when it launched across the pond earlier this year, noting of its speckled design and solid build quality for the price.

The Desire 530 features a 5-inch 720p display paired with an 8MP rear-facing camera and 5MP front-facing shooter. The device is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 210 processor and 1.5GB of RAM, while the battery comes in at 220mAh and there’s 16GB of internal storage and a microSD card slot for further expandability.

Where the Desire 530 really stands out, however, is with its design. The device features a unique plastic design that has a micro splash dotted effect on it, which HTC says makes every phone both personal and unique.

HTC is also heavily touting the speaker capabilities of the Desire 530, as the device ships with the BoomSound profile paired with an amp to boost volume and bass without distorting the sound.

“At HTC we want to bring people the most progressive devices with features customers love,” said Nigel Newby-House, AVP of Product Planning at HTC. “The new HTC Desire 530 is the most unique Desire available – combining our micro splash finish with impressive audio and high quality cameras, all at an incredible price.”

In the United States, the Desire 530 will be available on T-Mobile and Verizon, while HTC.com will offer an unlocked version of the Sprinkle White color option for $179 later this month. The full press is below:
